Past Webinars: Helping People Stay at Home: One Light Bulb and Snow Shovel at a Time

Broadcast: Tuesday, February 14, 2017 – 12:00pm – 1:30pm

Part two of the TSLCA 4-part series on community-based home repair, maintenance, and modification programs will focus on volunteer efforts that meet the need for help with seasonal chores and basic home maintenance.

This webinar will explore how different kinds of volunteer programs operate around our region and will describe the impact these programs have on volunteers and on people receiving help.  Key issues that will be discussed are recruitment and training of volunteers, developing policies that make the experience of those receiving help with chores or maintenance tasks, and how these kinds of programs can be sustained longer-term.

Thank you, I enjoyed part 2 very much. There were a lot of great ideas. It is very helpful as we are getting started with Aging Well in Waldo County. I would watch part 1 but I am not sure where on the site to find it. Where is it? Thanks!
